Giants Game
Going to a Giants game at AT&T Park is a must when you're in San Francisco. The stadium is always packed, but you can usually find last-minute tickets online. AT&T Park is on the San Francisco Bay, so you'll have a pretty view of the ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge in case your seats turn out to be in the nosebleed section. They also have really good food like Tony's Neapolitan Pizza and Ghirardelli chocolate ice cream sundaes. Even if you aren't a huge baseball fan, the Giants games are always filled with energy and lots of fun.
Lombard Street
Lombard Street is famous for being the most crooked street in San Francisco. It's beautiful in the spring/summer because of all the flowers and greenery that border the road. Lombard Street is really fun (and challenging) to drive down, but there is also a path along the side if you want to walk up and down instead. There is also an amazing view of the city and the ocean. If it's a clear and sunny day, Lombard Street is really cool to visit.

The beautiful view at the top of the windy road.

There's a path along the side to walk, or you can attempt to drive down.

In N Out
Obviously while you're in California you have to get In-N-Out. If you've never been there before, I would recommend getting a regular cheeseburger, animal style fries, and a Neapolitan shake. And while you're at it, you should also get some Krispy Kreme donuts.

The Painted Ladies
These Victorian houses depict the classic look of a San Franciscan-style home. They're located at Alamo Park and they are so picturesque. It's also the location of the house from Full House. There isn't necessarily much to do here, but if you want a really cute picture of the city I would recommend stopping here.

Andy Goldsworthy Pieces around the Presidio
Andy Goldsworthy is a british artist who has created four pieces around the Presidio Heights area in San Francisco and a couple down at Stanford. He takes inspiration from nature and uses twigs, logs, leaves, and stones to create his works. They're all very subtle pieces of art, that one might not even notice them as a piece of art. Each piece evokes the complex separation of what is "natural" and what is "manmade". I thought it was fun to go around and try to look for the four pieces around the Presidio.

This piece, called "Spire", was made out of cypress trees and it is 90 feet tall. If you go on a walk in the Presidio it's hard to miss.

This piece is located at the Officers' Club in the Presidio, right off of the patio of an amazing restaurant called Arguello. It's called "Earth Wall" and it is the newest of the four pieces in the Predisio, completed in 2014.
This was my favorite of all the works of art because it's the most understated and picturesque. It's called "Lovers' Lane," and it's about .5 miles to walk all the way down it. It's located right near the old military homes that were built in the 19th century. It got it's name "Lovers' Lane" because it was the path the soldiers used to travel to meet up with their significant others.

This piece is made from a eucalyptus tree and cracked clay.

Chrissy Field
One of my favorite things to do when I'm in SF is walk on the path at Chrissy Field. If you park/start walking at the Chrissy Field Center, you can walk along the path on the beach for about 1.5 miles and you will reach Fort Point and the Golden Gate Bridge. On a nice day, tons of people will be out there walking, running, biking, and rollerblading, swimming, surfing, and sailing. The Warming Hut is about a half a mile away from Fort Point, where you can buy a souvenir or grab a bite to eat.

A view of the beach and the mountains from the path.

The white building to the left is the Warming Hut, and if you keep walking .5 miles, you'll reach Fort Point for a great view of the ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Nourish Café
Nourish Cafe is the cutest healthy restaurant I've come across in SF. Everything is 100% plant based, organic, and GMO-free, so you can feel good about yourself after eating here. They have really good smoothies, juices, and sandwiches, but my favorite thing is their veggie wrap.
This is the veggie wrap with lettuce, cabbage, carrots, tomato, avocado, and hummus.
You can sit outside or inside

Walking in the Presidio
If you want to squeeze in some exercise, the Presidio has the perfect trail and an amazing view of the ocean and Golden Gate Bridge at the end. Start at Inspiration Point with a view of Alcatraz and follow Ecology Trail down to the ocean!

There are coyotes that linger around in here, so I wouldn't recommend bringing a dog on your walk.

Neiman Marcus Rotunda
We don't have a Neiman Marcus in Minnesota, so if you like to shop I would highly recommend going at Union Square in San Francisco. At the very top of the store you can sit down for lunch at The Rotunda. It has a really elegant lounge vibe and the architecture reminds me a lot of something you would see in Paris. If you have a good table you can sit under the stained-glass dome and with a view of Union Square. While you eat, models walk by and show off new arrivals. If you're in the mood for a really good salad and shopping experience, I would recommend coming here.
deYoung Museum
The deYoung Museum always has amazing, elaborate exhibits. I recently saw the Oscar de la Renta exhibit (which ends next week), but I've never been disappointed with any of the shows I've seen there. The parking is really easy, they have a great restaurant, and it's right next to the California Academy of Sciences and the Japanese Tea Garden.
The Oscar de la Renta exhibit featured hundreds of ensembles ranging all the way through his career as a designer. Each room had a different tone and highlighted a different collection of his. There was a Spanish-inspired room, a Mediterranean room, a garden themed room, a room recreating an editorial he did for Vogue, and a room of his Met Gala designs.

Here are a few dresses from the Spanish-inspired room.

It was overall an amazing collection, and even though the exhibition is ending soon, there are always exciting showcases going on whether you like seeing art, fashion, sculptures, etc.
